Real Estate Investment Article Recommendations of the Week

You can now invest in real estate, even if you’re not Donald Trump — CNNMoney

A while back, we started talking about the emerging model of real estate investment through crowdfunding. However, up until now, crowdfunding real estate has largely been limited to commercial properties and for accredited investors only. But as of June 19, the rules will change. Due to the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act in 2012, the SEC will be releasing revised rules that make crowdfunding real estate investment open to everyone.
This opens up a lot of previously unavailable opportunities to small-time investors — and it’s absolutely worth paying attention to.

8 Great Real Estate Investments for Those on a Tight Budget — FortuneBuilders

Speaking of small-time investors, getting involved in real estate investment doesn’t automatically solve money problems. When you’re working with limited capital or just started out, your options can seem limited.  This article from Fortune Builders points out options for investors who only have a few thousand (or hundred) dollars to spare. Even if you’re already investing with more, knowing what you can do with less means more opportunities that you may not have considered before.

3 Reasons Beginners Don’t Invest Out-of-State (& How to Overcome Them!) — BiggerPockets

This article highlights the three primary reasons investors avoid far away markets, and offers solutions on how to overcome them. (We think turnkey real estate investing is a great solution ourselves!)

My Perfect Tenant Left Me! What Do I Do Now? — REIClub

Everything goes well until a good tenant leaves. For whatever the reason, this is a reality every investor faces at some point or another. It’s all-too easy to lament the loss of the perfect tenant and let it take the wind out of your sails. This article talks about getting over the loss of your tenant, and how to move on to successful investing afterwards.

Using Real Estate Virtual Assistants (VAs) to Make More Money — Invest For More

At some point, investing in real estate ceases to become a one-person job. While hiring an assistant is an option, there are also the less (but increasingly) utilized virtual assistants that can help take care of daily tasks, opening your time and energy up to focus on the big picture. These assistants aren’t robots or artificial intelligence, but individuals living elsewhere or overseas who do their work online — whether it’s crafting real estate listing for you, house-hunting on Craigslist, or otherwise freeing up your time to focus on being the best investor you can be.
