There were three categories for companies to be chosen as Small Business of the Year winners. Memphis Invest has been nominated two years in a row for the 26-60 employee award and the second year is the charm!

If you missed the article from last week where we were nominated you can read it here and we will have our nominee video from the night up soon. For now, just know that we had a great time and were lucky enough to have some of our employees on hand with us. As you all know, business never stops and I was the only Clothier in town that night to go to the awards dinner as Kent Sr. was in our Dallas offices and Brett was returning from out of town.
We wanted to share the award with all of our clients, friends and most importantly our staff. As I said that night, we as owners get a lot of credit for our success. But, the real credit goes to our outstanding TEAM! We simply paint the vision of the type of company we want the community to be thankful for and our team does the rest. They take the vision and put it to work everyday working with our clients to build their portfolios and our tenants to keep them in great homes that have been renovated above any other companies standards and at affordable rents. Those two goals have helped our clients achieve excellent results and are the main reasons that we have grown so quickly as existing clients still purchase over 60% of the properties sold every month.
Anyway, we just wanted to share a little of the award and say thank you to all of our team for doing an outstanding job and making it possible for us to be names the Memphis Business Journal Small Business of the Year!
