Think Ahead to Retirement Investing While You're Young

Fri, Jul 10, 2020

planningforetirement-investinginrealestate-passiveincomeMotley Fool just reported on data from Transamerica that reveals that some 44 percent of American workers aren’t thinking about retirement investment. They’d rather wait until they’re closer to retirement age. Other priorities and concerns are at the forefront. While planning for retirement, many take a backseat, laissez-faire approach.

We get it. So many Americans right now feel unable to focus on the future. After all, nearly half of Americans don’t have the emergency funds to cope with COVID-19. Even before the pandemic crisis, statistics revealed that Americans were largely unable to pay for a $1000 emergency themselves. Only 41 percent had the necessary funds, while the rest of the respondents either didn’t know how they would cope with unexpected costs or planned to use credit, a personal loan, or private loans from friends and family.

Simply put, a lot of people are living paycheck-to-paycheck. That’s been the case for years! Unfortunately, life gets more expensive as it goes on. We’re living longer and dealing with high costs of living across the nation. When you’re retired, you don’t want to worry about whether you can afford a vacation or fear that you might not be able to handle an unexpected medical crisis.

While many of us may feel ill-equipped or unable to plan for retirement, it’s critical. Thankfully, savings and 401Ks aren’t the only avenues to retirement planning. You can make your money work through real estate investing.

Why Turnkey Real Estate Investment is Key in Retirement Planning

There are a lot of different ways to invest. While people traditionally gravitate towards stocks and dividends, recent stock market turmoil has been pushing investors to look to other, more reliable ways to build their wealth. Because the real estate market has out-performed pandemic predictions, it has become a top choice for investors both foreign and domestic!

Of course, when you’re thinking about retirement you have different priorities than if investing for short-term gains. There are a few reasons turnkey real estate investment, then, is ideal for retirement-minded investing.

1) A Peace-of-Mind Method

We have ever-changing priorities and values as we go through life. We have careers to build, children to raise, relationships to forge. There’s a lot going on, and the last thing we want to worry about is making the right investment decisions. One of the greatest advantages of turnkey real estate investment is its accessibility. Investors with all levels of experience (and a lack thereof) can succeed — because your success is not contingent on your experience, your know-how, or the time you can dedicate to investing.

Part of what makes turnkey investing so attractive is that you can lean on the expertise and services of turnkey providers (such as REI Nation). It makes investing headache and hassle-free. Not only that, but it ensures that you have a long-term, sustainable investment method. It doesn’t depend on your physical ability or availability! This frees you up to pursue the things that you really care about.

2) Reliability

Investing in real estate can be risky business. Turnkey investing, particularly in single-family rentals, eliminates a lot of the risk that can be associated with real estate investment. For one, you don’t have to time the market. You don’t have to worry about finding properties or markets to suit your needs. You aren’t responsible for management or residents. Experts handle these areas and mitigate their risks.

Real estate in itself is an advantageous investment because it is tangible and essential. There will always be housing and rental demand! While ups-and-downs may come our way, we’re not fearful that investing in rental properties will suddenly be an unfeasible model. It’s one of the oldest and most time-tested and proven methods of investment. It’s not going anywhere.

As a result, not only are the investments themselves proven to work, but the methods to maximize profitability and minimize risk have long been tested. We walk in the footsteps of many who have succeeded before!

3) Scalable Success

Investing in real estate offers two significant advantages: growing equity and passive income. However, investing in real estate alone comes with some distinct challenges. Not only is it more time-intensive on the part of the owner, but it runs into roadblocks in terms of scalability. For the real estate investor, building a diverse portfolio is key to building real wealth. No one gets rich from one or two properties!

Turnkey real estate sets itself apart in that it makes portfolio growth a smooth and achievable process. This is because the day-to-day operations are handled by expert teams! As an owner, you are not limited by how much time you have, what you know, or how far you are. Instead, you can leverage the time and talents of others to replicate success as you build your portfolio.

There are many ways to prepare for retirement. Investing in real estate, however, is a time-tested method that shows so signs of falling short. Even amidst a recession and pandemic worries, single-family real estate investment continues to see growth and demand.
