DSNews writer, Carrie Bay published an article today citing Barclays' bank analysts pointing toward a continued drop in pricing around the country, but a slowing of the foreclosure process and eventual bottoming of pricing.

This is a trend we have been seeing in Memphis foreclosures as the number filings slows and inventory reduces.  The number of properties in Memphis in pre-foreclosure notice status and behind on payments continues to remain high, but is expected to level off and be reduced over time.

I truly have one of the great jobs in our company!  I get to talk to investors from all around the country every day and help guide them as they decide whether or not to invest with our family owned business.  I get asked a lot of great questions and I can tell that many of our clients have really thought through their decision to invest in Memphis real estate with our company.  That is a true blessing.

Less than three months after new rules for home appraisers kicked in, the real estate industry is in uproar.

Realtors, homebuilders, mortgage brokers and the appraisal industry itself all agree the rules are causing problems. Some are backing a bill in Congress to kill them.
